Saving Project...

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in New Bern, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of the Construction of a Half Basketball Court at Pierce Park, located at 1805 National Avenue. Work consists of constructing a concrete foundation and installing fencing. The City of New Bern has established Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) minimum participation levels (MPLs). HUD Section 3 participation is required for contracts in excess of $200,000.00. The MBE/WBE MPLs are three percent (3%) for MBE and three percent (3%) for WBE of the dollar amount of the bid for this contract. The Contractor must make a "Good Faith Effort" to solicit MBE/WBE participation and Section 3 participation as is applicable for the project. The contractor should use the form - MBE/WBE and Section 3 Participation, which is included in the bid documents. The City of New Bern reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. All inquiries or questions concerning this project must be made to Ms. D'Aja Fulmore, Community Development Coordinator, fulmored@newbernnc.gov or by calling (252) 639- 7586. All questions must be in writing and submitted not later than April 4, 2024 by 5:00 P.M. (prevailing local time). No questions will be responded to after this date. Responses to all written questions will be no later than April 5, 2024 by 5:00 P.M. (prevailing local time).
