From qualified solid waste contractors for the purpose of collection, transportation and disposal of all non-hazardous and non-infectious solid waste generated at County-owned buildings and/or buildings where departmental offices are located. This bid is titled BCFY24-50 Refuse Collection for Boone County Owned Facilities. Included in the specifications is the option for roll-off containers and the County Departments to haul refuse directly to the Contractor s facility. Each bidder is required to submit with their bid, a bid bond in the amount of $50,000.00. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to $250,000.00. The Performance Bond shall be in effect for the length of the initial contract period and any/all subsequent contract periods. The successful bidder will be required to have a current Occupational License in Boone County before the contract will be awarded. Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modifications of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of receipt of bids.
