On-Call Mechanical and Electrical Services INTRODUCTION: The City of High Point Public Services Department is hereby soliciting proposals from North Carolina licensed mechanical, electrical and recycling equipment contractors (firms) to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision for mechanical, electrical and recycling equipment maintenance at the City of High Point's water treatment facility, wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater lift stations and material recovery facility. The intent of this procurement is to establish on-call mechanical, electrical and recycling equipment Contractors for the Public Services Department. Questions Due to Purchasing Wednesday February 28, 2024, before 12:00 PM Questions concerning this RFP must be sent to Erik Edwards, Contracts Administrator, no later than 12:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Questions must be submitted via email to erik.edwards@highpointnc.gov. CONTRACT PRICING: Proposals shall include pricing for the scope of work, all labor, time and materials. REJECTION OF PROPOSAL: The City of High Point reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, to waive any informality in proposals received, to accept or reject any or all of the items in the proposal, and to award the contract in whole or in part and/or negotiate any or all items with individual Proposers if it is deemed in the City's best interest. Moreover, the City reserves the right to make no selection if proposals are deemed to be outside the fiscal constraint or not in the best interest of the City. INSURANCE: The Contractor shall purchase and maintain during the life of this contract comprehensive general liability and other insurance as is appropriate for the work being performed as outlined in the sample contract which is attached for your reference. A Certificate of Insurance will be required at the time of executing the final contract. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of Contractor's services, as currently envisioned for this project would include but not be limited to mechanical, electrical, recycling equipment maintenance/repair, equipment installation, preventive maintenance work, and equipment troubleshooting. Knowledge and experience working on a variety of mechanical or electrical systems including electrical distribution, motor starters, instrumentation, controls, process valves, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, tanks, compressors, process piping, and welding is required.
