The City is seeking a responsible vendor to provide painting services for the Battleship Wisconsin according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. a.Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment, to include subcontractor management, safety equipment, scaffolding, crane services, barge services, tug services, fuel, bathrooms, employee parking (only 2 supervisor cars will be allowed onsite), debris/waste/spill containment and clean-up, set-up/breakdown staging, electrical power, garbage/paint waste disposal and any other necessary materials/equipment/services to paint the entire freeboard of the USS Wisconsin (887'-3" long x 108'-3" beam) from the Main Deck to the top of the existing black boot top coat (approx. 18"-24" above the water line). b. The ship will remain operational during the painting work in its current location and will not be relocated. Color scheme shall remain the same. Numbering and lettering shall be white with black shadow boxes. c. Contractorshallspot prime/coat any bare steel/damaged areas with one coat of Sherwin-Williams, or equivalent, (SW) Seaguard 5000 HS Epoxy (gray color on gray areas and black color on black areas). d. The topcoat shall be SW, or equivalent, Sherloxane 800 LSA "Haze Gray" Federal Standard (FS) 26270 and Black FS 27038. e. Sherloxane, or equivalent, 800 LSA shall be used for the white numbering/lettering and black shadow boxes. Colors: White FS 27925 and Black FS 27038. f. Contractor shall prepare and paint all the white and gray deck fittings (chocks, cleats, bitts, pad eyes, bollards, posts, etc.) on top of the gunnel and outside of the taffrail/handrail around the entire ship perimeter. White fittings remain white and gray fittings remain gray. Colors: White FS 27925 and Haze Gray FS 26270. g. Contractor shall comply with applicable state and federal EPA guidelines when working near, on, or above the water. h. Contractor shall comply with applicable Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements. i. Contractor will be provided full access to exterior areas. j. Work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays. k. The Contractor shall ensure employees always wear sufficient Personal Protective Equipment and abide by other relevant requirements specified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration while performing work to include assembling scaffolding and/or use lifts as required to complete the work. l. Contractor shall clean up the work areas at the end of each workday, ensuring the safety of visitors and pedestrians. Contractor shall remove all equipment and debris and return the work area to its original condition upon final acceptance by the City. m. All work shall be guaranteed for one year.
