Site work for a civil project in Sunnyside, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of March 28, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Construction will not begin for 3-5 years. Design - WW6 Re-Regulation Reservoir Enlargement. The District Envisions the Feasibility Study Being Completed in Two Basic Phases. Phase I Will Bring Forth an in Depth Preliminary (Approximately 30%) Design for All Aspects of the Reservoir, Reservoir Embankment, Penstock, Pumping Plant, Power Transmission Lines, Scada Integration, Main Canal Pipeline and Any Other Aspect Required for Completion of This Project. Known Requirements for the Finished Reservoir: o Estimated 600 to 900 Acre-ft Storage Capacity. o Required Pumping Capacity of 75 Cfs. o Required Return Capacity of 100 Cfs. At This Point Pros and Cons for Project Alternatives Not Already Determined, Will Be Addressed. Phase Ii Will Bring Design to Approximately 60%. During This Phase All Washington State Safety of Dams Requirements, an Environmental Report to Satisfy Nepa Requirements, and a Final Determination of the Amount of Water to Be Saved as a Result of Building and Implementing This Reservoir Will Be Addressed. The Feasibility Study Will Be Conducted by the Chosen Engineering Consulting Firm With Help From and Overall Project Supervision by the Roza Irrigation District Engineer.
