Renovation of a fire / police facility in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest, qualified, responsible bidder. The Town of Cumberland reserves the right to accept or reject, without prejudice, all bids to waive any irregularities therein, or to accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Cumberland. The Town of Cumberland does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, national origin, color, or disability in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the above-noted proper title endorsed thereon, in the form provided with executed copies of Appendices A and B and addressed and delivered to the Office of the Mayor. The bid submittal shall consist of the original bid proposal and two (2) copies of the bid. ADDENDA AND INTERPRETATIONS: Questions concerning this RFP must be emailed to EMS Acting Chief Scott Dessert at sdessert@cumberlandri.org . All questions must be received by 4:30 PM on 03/01/2024 to be considered. Responses to all questions, and any changes made to this RFP, will be provided as an addendum and posted on the Town's webpage SCOPE OF WORK The Town of Cumberland is requesting cost proposals from qualified firms to execute the following scope of work for the installation, programming, and testing of a new fire alarm system located at the 1512 Mendon Road EMS station: o Removal and disposal of any existing outdated fire alarm components. o Provide and install all materials per plans from Security Supply and per fire code. o Provide, install, and program Norel keltron master box. o All wiring will be concealed where possible. o Obtain all necessary permits and inspections. o Program fire alarm system per NFPA 72.
