The work to be done shall consist of the reclaiming, rough and final grading operations in preparation for bituminous asphalt road or parking lot paving, in accordance with Connecticut Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridges and Incidental Construction, Form 816, latest revision, all related sections. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, supplies, and other facilities and means necessary or proper perform operations as described, and to include all handwork as necessary for the completion of reclaiming, and all related work. The contractor is responsible for setting the rough and final grading after reclaiming, so the roadway grades will shed storm water. Following reclaiming, the city will provide and deliver additional base materials if necessary. Raised structures must be painted in fluorescent orange paint following all reclaiming operations. A water truck must be used as necessary to control dust following reclaiming until paving base course is complete. The contractor must provide proper base compaction.
