The City of Wood Dale is soliciting sealed bids for the 2024 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT. The rehabilitation work will consist of approximately 4,085 LF of pre-construction cleaning and televising, 3,560 LF of 8" cured-in-place pipelining, 310 LF of 10" cured-in-place pipelining, 215 LF of 15" cured-in-place pipelining, three (3) point repairs, grouting of approximately sixty-seven (67) laterals, five (5) protruding tap removals, fifty-five (55) CIPP lateral liner installations, fifty-five (55) laterals to be cleaned & televised, dye testing of fourteen (14) existing service connections, 128 laterals to be re-instated, and restoration and other related and incidental work. If addenda are issued, you will automatically be notified by email to return to the website to access them. No questions will be accepted after 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, and no addenda will be issued after 4:00 PM on Friday, March 15th, 2024. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked in the lower left-hand corner "SEALED BID, DO NOT OPEN; PROPOSAL OF (NAME OF BIDDER) FOR THECITY OF WOOD DALE 2024 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT". Any proposals received after this time will not be considered. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without the consent of the City of Wood Dale for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening bids. The City of Wood Dale reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it. This work shall consist of the removal and replacement of portions of sanitary sewer pipe and all necessary removal and restoration of existing surface and utilities at locations shown on the Plans. Work and materials incidental to POINT REPAIR may include, but are not limited to: excavation, tree removal, shoring, sheeting, bracing, all pipes, fittings, adapters, pipe bedding, trench backfill, temporary aggregate, compaction, surface restoration (sidewalk, driveway pavement, lawns, etc.), bypass pumping and traffic control. The existing surface area of each work location shall be recorded in electronic media format prior to any excavation as described in PRE-CONSTRUCTION SURFACE TELEVISING. Site preparation including surface removal shall be as required for each individual point repair.
