South Tahoe Public Utility District (Stpud or District) Invites Sealed Bids by Electronic Submission Only for the Construction of the 2024 Filter Rehabilitation Project ("project"). Bids Shall Be Valid for 60 Calendar Days After the Bid Opening Date, as Required in the Bid Form. The Site of the Work is Located at the Stpud Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California. The Work to Be Performed Consists of but is Not Limited to: Rehabilitation of Filter Nos. 3 and 4, Which Includes Demolition of the Existing Influent Header Piping, Existing Rotary-arm Surface Wash System, and Existing Underdrains; and Removal of Existing Protective Coatings on the Interior of the Filter Vessels. Existing Filter Media Will Be Removed and Disposed of at an Approved Landfill. Work Includes Installation of a New Influent Header Pipe; Installation of a New Fixed-grid Surface Wash System; Installation of a New Underdrain System; Replacement of Gravel and Filter Media as Specified in Filters 3 and 4; Addition of Filter Media (Anthracite) in Filter 2; Installation of a New Access Hatch on Both Filter Vessels; Replacement of All Valves and Actuators Associated With Filters 3 and 4; Replacement of 4-inch Surface Wash Main Valve, and Replacement of Backwash Isolation Valve. after Electronic Bidding, Each Bidder Shall Submit Their Original Bid Forms to South Tahoe Public Utility District at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California by 10:00 Am Pst on March 11, 2024. Questions or Comments Regarding This Project Must Be Submitted Electronically via Our Electronic Bidding System and Must Be Received by the District No Later Than 4:00 Pm Pst on March 1, 2024. Responses From the District Will Be Communicated via the Electronic Bidding System. In Accordance with the Provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the South Tahoe Public Utility District Has Determined That Bidders Shall Possess a Valid Class A Contractor License at the Time of Bid Opening, the Contract is Awarded and for the Duration of the Contract. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, a Certified or Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond Secured from a Surety Company Satisfactory to the District, the Amount of Which Shall Not Be Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Submitted Bid Price or as Detailed in Section 00 20 00, Bid Security, Part 2.05, Made Payable to the South Tahoe Public Utility District as Bid Security.
