Landscape Bed and Mowing Maintenance. Bidders are required to state in detail their experience in this class of work and inexperience may be grounds for rejecting a bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, veteran status, or national origin. Each bid shall fully comply with the Instructions to Bidders provided in the Contract Documents and shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the bid and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either (a) a combined Bid/Performance bond in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 153.54 in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid or (b) by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 153.54 for ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Grove City, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within 10 days after notice of acceptance. A Performance Bond a Payment Bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract with a satisfactory surety company, conditioned according to law, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The City of Grove City reserves the right to waive any or all requirements and to reject any and all bids, including those that, in the opinion of the City, show evidence of unbalanced prices, the City and also may waive technical defects as the interest of the City may require.
