Renovation of an educational facility in Kent City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Kent City Community Schools is soliciting bids for gym floor refinishing at the middle school. Refinishing work to include: sand floor to bare wood and apply two coats of sealer, paint main basketball court lines, paint center court logo, paint volleyball court (one main and two cross), paint two auxiliary basketball court lines, repair damaged boards, finish - apply two coats of gym finish, new base - remove existing base and install new vented cove base with new pre molded outside corners. Bids must contain: a signed Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification; and a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationships between the bidder and the superintendent and board of Kent City Community Schools. Successful bidders are required to file with the board security in an amount not less than 1/20 of the amount of the bid conditioned to secure the District from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the bid or by the failure of the bidder to enter a contract for performance, if the bid is accepted by the Board. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the School District's best interest, and the School District may select a bidder other than the lowest bidder in accordance with the terms stated in the notice.
