As of June 6, 2026, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The Town of New Milford (Town) seeks the services of a professional civil engineering firm licensed in the State of Connecticut with roadway, sidewalk and ROW acquisition experience to provide project relevant services. The project goal is to provide civil engineering services and complete design plans for the reconstruction of a roadway, sidewalks and other structures in the Town of New Milford. LOTCIP funding has been secured and all services provided are to meet funding requirements and applicable construction standards. The Town has preliminary design plans for improvements on an existing roadway (Wellsville Ave), see Section 9, Attachments. The design shall be inclusive of the roadway, sidewalks, retaining walls, drainage systems, guardrails and other structures as detailed in the preliminary plan set. Pedestrian crossings shall also be incorporated/improved upon to meet current accessibility standards at all intersections. Services to include the facilitation of the required easement acquisitions (easement cost paid to landowners to be approved by and paid through LOTCIP funding). The Town also reserves the right to host up to two Public Information Meetings regarding the project to which the awarded firm shall be present for and answer any questions. Final design plans due within ninety days from date of award or thirty days after easement acquisitions, whichever is later. Progress towards easement acquisitions shall be monitored for due diligence towards a timely completion.
