Summary School District U-46 is seeking bids from qualified contractors for wood floor screening and recoating in various spaces in School District U-46 facilities. Scope of Work The Vendor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the screening and recoating projects for hardwood floors in School District U-46. A. The Contractor shall: a. Ensure floor surface is clean, free from wax, gum, tape and tape residue, sticky glue, oily residues, etc. Floors shall be fully machine cleaned and mopped, including the corners and edges; b. Screen the full floor area using a high-speed buffer machine and 100-150 grit screens; c. Tack the floor with treated tack towel or to remove all dirt and residue before applying finish; d. Apply one liberal coat of high solid oil-modified urethane gym finish to the floor. This coat of finish must provide a uniform coverage with no dull spots or lap marks; and e.
