Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Orlando, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

The Housing Authority of the City of Orlando, Florida (OHA) seeks competitive bids from qualified individuals and/or organizations to provide Demolition Services for Griffin Park Apartments, located at 520 Callahan Drive and 715 Avondale Avenue, Orlando, FL 32805. All questions requiring explanations and interpretations of the IFB document must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Manager, Liza Martinez, at liza.martinez@orl-oha.org by March 21, 2024, by 2:00 PM EST. All questions will be answered per HUD 5369, Section 2. Responses will be held in confidence throughout the procurement process, as applicable by law. The Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any formalities, to reject any or all proposals, or to re-advertise for proposals. OHA is a Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Agency. The Orlando Housing Authority is seeking bids from qualified, licensed, and insured entities to provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, permits, and inspections for the abatement and demolition of Griffin Park Apartments Public Housing Complex located at 520 Callahan Drive; 715 Avondale Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32805. Griffin Park Apartments sits on 9+ acres west of downtown Orlando in the Parramore neighborhood. The Contractor shall secure, maintain, and pay for all permits, fees, and licenses necessary for the proper execution and completion of work. The site contains twenty-two residential buildings and one non-residential building. Twenty-one residential buildings will be demolished, leaving one residential building located at 745 Dunbar Avenue and one non-residential building located at 520 Callahan Drive. The plans detail post-demolition grades for future development. Griffin Park Apartments is on the National Register of Historic Places. The OHA will retain two (2) buildings at Griffin Park. Griffin Park is composed of concrete blocks, wood porch columns, and shingle roofing. All work shall be completed in accordance with current building codes and federal, state, and local ordinance codes. The bidder/respondent is encouraged to visit the project site to verify conditions and to attend a pre-bid conference. Change orders will not be approved for foreseen items overlooked by the bidder. - Demolish 21 existing buildings and all surrounding infrastructure and utilities serving these buildings. All buildings are to be demolished at the same time. Please note that one existing residential building and one existing non-residential building will remain.
