Renovation of a residential development in Lula, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Hall County, Georgia, Board of Commissioners (Herein "County") is soliciting bid responses from qualified companies specializing in architectural design services for the renovation, restoration, and preservation of historic structures (Herein "Services") according to the Scope of Work as specified herein. Bidders Questions Due Date: Friday, March 22, 2024 The County is now accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified architectural service providers (Herein "Bidder" or "Contractor") for the renovation, restoration, and preservation of the Nancy Head Rucker house and its adjacent barn to their original 19th Century form and function, located at 5837 Whitehall Rd, Lula, GA 30554 (herein "Services"). Bid openings are open to the public and Bidders. Bidders are not required to attend but may do so. The Issuing Officer named herein will open and publicly read all proposer's company name on the date, time, and address above. Cost proposals will not be read at this time but will be published after the County has evaluated the qualifications of each Bidder. Bidders must be in the regular business of providing the Services as their principal core line of work. Bidders must also have experience in renovation, restoration, and preservation of historic structures. Contractors shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, transportation and materials necessary to perform the Services. 4.2 The contractor shall be responsible for all work performed in support of this contract. Subcontractors shall not perform any work unless pre-approved in writing by the County. Contractors must disclose any intended subcontractors within the bid at the time of bid submission. If the Bidder intends to use a subcontractor(s) to fulfill one entire segment of this contract, then the Bidder should submit to the County professional references for the subcontractor on jobs similar in size and scope. Once the County has awarded the contract, the contractor cannot change subcontractors without seeking written preapproval from the County. The County reserves the right to check all references and conduct background checks on any changes to subcontractors or workers performing work under this contract. The Contractor shall be wholly responsible for the quality of their subcontractor's work. The contractor shall disclose the percentage (%) of the work to be completed by each subcontractor. 4.3 County Consultants. From time to time, the County may select an outside consultant at its own discretion who will act under the direction of the County's Project Manager. The consultant will have full authority to act on behalf of the County; however, the consultant may not solicit goods and services on behalf of the County without prior written approval from the County. Contractors MUST follow all specification sections prepared by the County's consultant, and the consultant MUST be allowed to inspect all work.
