Athens St. Streetscape The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The Project consists of, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 10, 849 square feet of eight-foot wide concrete sidewalk, 5 cross walks, 6 benches, and 15 trees. This project also includes the removal of 5 trees. The time allowed for Substantial Completion from the date of Notice to Proceed is 90 consecutive calendar days. The project has a maximum time for total completion which shall not exceed 120 consecutive calendar days from the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid Opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise. Question Deadline 03/10/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than 72 hours prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
