These General Specifications for Asphalt Concrete Mixes apply to all asphalt concrete Items, and are part ofthe requirements listed for Items 740. All testing required must be performed by a New York State Department of Transportation certified technician and/or an independent testing laboratory. The Contractor shall submit the name of the certified technician and/or independent testing laboratory to the Commissioner for approval ten (10) days after delivery of the executed Contract. No testing is to be performed without approval by the Commissioner No additional payment will be made for any mix design, job mix formula, and/or quality control testing required. The cost is to be included in the unit price bid per square yard for 740. The work under this Item shall consist of the removal of existing concrete curbs when necessary and/or constructing new concrete curbs and all excavation, saw cutting, backfill and restoration in accordance with the plans, specifications or as directed by the Engineer.
