Reference Number 0000343523 The bids are for a public works project which consists of repair of the storm drain along 6th street between View Drive and Virginia Terrace and includes the removal and replacement of an 18-inch diameter storm drain line, connections to two existing catch basins as well as a manhole, and replacement of curb and gutter as shown on the plans, repaving and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement as shown on the Plans and other incidental and appurtenant work. Bids shall conform and be responsive to the Contract Documents for the work. General Requirements - Certified Payroll Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % -- The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, and a Payment (Material and Labor) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, on the forms provided and, in the manner, described in the Bid Documents. The Bid Bond will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract and provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice of Award of the Contract pursuant to the terms of said Bid Bond. Liquidated Damages Liquidated damages for avoidable delays shall be $1.000.00 per consecutive day in excess of the Contract Time for the completion of the Work. See General Provisions Section 6-9.1 for additional information. Engineer's Estimate: The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $80,000.
