Shipping and tax charges are the bidder s responsibility and payable directly to Becker Impressions. Bid Guaranty - The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Port Clinton, Ohio, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. The Project includes the following Work: Installation of new semi-actuated traffic signal on SR-163 at the drive entrance for Mr. Ed s Bar and Grille. Signal components include pedestrian signal heads and pushbuttons. Project also includes extending walk along the north side of SR-163 to connect to existing walk north of the drawbridge. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Ottawa County, Ohio. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder will be required to pay federally determined Davis-Bacon Act wage rates. The Engineer s opinion of probable construction cost is approximately $304,000.00. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-Qualification status must be in force at the time of the bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. Subcontractors are not subject to the pre-qualification requirement.
