QUESTIONS DURING THE PROPOSAL PREPARATION PROCESS -As of the issuance date of this Request for Proposals (RFP) and continuing until 48 hours prior to the time for submitting proposals has expired, the Town will provide relevant information as necessary for all Vendors to familiarize themselves with the requirements set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP). SCOPE OF SERVICES Installation of pavement markings shall be done in accordance with the standards of the 2003 edition of the MUTCD. The waterborne traffic paint shall be used as a base for reflective glass beads. The glass beads shall be applied at a rate of 6 pounds per one (1) gallon of paint All markings place to reproduce existing lines shall be done in a manner that produces results which are consistent with roadway curves and original markings. The contractor shall be required to schedule work in a manner that will minimize impact to traffic. The contractor will coordinate work with the Town's Highway Supervisor who may or may not be present during the work. Prior to applying the markings to the pavement, the contractor shall ensure that the surface is dry and free of dirt, grease, oil or other foreign material. The surface temperature of the pavement shall be a minimum of 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Newly applied pavement markings shall be protected from traffic until the paint has cure, the method of protection shall not constitute a hazard to the traveling public. The contractor, shall at his own expense, repair damage to markings done as a result of tracking by a method approved by the Town.
