Working hours shall be 7:00 a.m. thru 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday unless otherwise directed by school officials. No weekend work will be permitted. Project shall commence upon issuance of the purchase order and partial work shall be completed by April 30, 2024. The Contractor shall provide a 1 year written warranty on the entire irrigation system for defects in materials, equipment and workmanship including any damages to paving, planting, structures and settling trenches The Contractor shall at the 10th month in the warranty period make follow-up visit to verify with school Principal or schools designate, if complete irrigation system is still properly working. This follow-up visit is an added part of the existing warranty and shall be at no additional cost to the Department of Education and the State of Hawaii To be eligible to submit a bid, the bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license classification: C-27 or C-37b. A performance bond is required for all projects $50,000 and above. Prior to award, the contractor shall submit the DOE Subcontracting Percentage Form to the Project Coordinator. The sub-contracting form is preferred as an attachment at the time of bidding in HePS. This Solicitation is for procurement as set forth in Section 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), Chapter 3-122, Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) and Act 175, SLH 2009. Contractor shall at all times observe and comply with all provisions of Chapter 104, HRS, regarding Wages and Hours of Employees on Public Works Law. Upon award of jobs $2,500 and greater, the DOE will use the online Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) system to verify the contractor's compliance documents.
