Project Description: Project consists of removal of existing asphalt shingles and underlayment, and installation of new fiberglass asphaltic shingles with new underlayment (Base Bid). The work at both the Primary and Elementary Schools is combined as one project. There is an alternate to upgrade the type of asphaltic shingle and another alternate to install new modified bitumen roofing systems over existing modified bitumen roofs at the flat roof kitchen and connectors at both schools. Project cost range Base Bid is approximately $1,300,000.00 Project Location: a) Berrien Primary School, 1427 North Davis Street, Nashville, GA 31639. b) Berrien Elementary School, 802 Middle School Circle, Nashville, GA 31639. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5] percent of the bid amount. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed (est. mid-April, 2024) and shall complete the Work prior to August 1, 2024.
