This contract includes complete inspection, testing, training, preventative maintenance, incidental servicing, emergency service, monitoring for the Siemens Systems currently installed at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston. This maintenance contract shall be for a term of three years, commencing on or about May 1, 2024. The maintenance contract will also contain (2) one-year options after the initial 3-year term, to be executed at the Authority's discretion. Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5 p.m., on Thursday, March 7, 2024 .Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received to bflynn@massconvention.com. Each general bid on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required. To be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $225,000 and for the following category of work: Alarm Systems Each general bid must also be accompanied by a Contractor Qualification Update Statement. The Authority will furnish copies of the Contractor Qualification Update Statement form to any bidder on request. Any general bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Contractor Qualification Update Statement shall be invalid. Bidding procedures and award of the contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Sections 44A through 44J, inclusive, of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each bid shall be submitted and will be considered in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and other Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total value of the bid. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. The Authority reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any time without liability to any bidder or other party. The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials, or payment bond as set forth in the bid form. Subcontractors' bonding requirements, if applicable, are described in the bidding documents. Attention is called to the minimum rates of wages to be paid on the work as determined under the provisions of Chapter 149, Massachusetts General Laws, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended, and as set forth in the Contract Documents, which the contractor will be required to pay.
