Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The work involves the removal and replacement of existing bridges located on the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail ("Rail Trail") that cross Silver Creek. The bridges are located adjacent to State Route 248 near Quinn's Junction. PCMC has purchased prefabricated steel truss bridges for these two locations that will be delivered in 2024 for installation by the Contractor. Additional project work includes construction of new bridge abutments, placement of bridge structures, construction of retaining walls adjacent to bridge ends, grading, and trail construction to tie in the new bridges to the existing trail. The project completion date shall be November 15, 2024. All questions concerning the project must be submitted via the U3P website by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2024.
