To obtain proposals from qualified professional firms to complete architectural plans, specifications, and engineering for new construction of 5 single-family homes at lots 27-B-19, 27-B-18, 27-B-17, 27-B-38, and 27-B-37,Pittsburgh, PA 15219 (the Property). The selected firm's contract will cover services from design development to completion of construction drawings and specifications. Construction Administration will be under a future negotiated contract. The Property will be developed into two 2-bedroom and three 3-bedroom affordable residential for-sale units. Background: This project is located in the Upper Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Upper Hill is predominantly a residential community situated adjacent to larger mixed-use communities of Oakland, Downtown, and Shadyside. Pittsburgh Housing Development Corporation (PHDC), in partnership with local community group Schenley Heights Collaborative (SHC) has undertaken redevelopment efforts within the past two decades resulting in 12 new construction projects and 14 rehabs for resale. PHDC and SHC wish to continue this effort with the development of 5 additional units of affordable for-sale housing.
