The project consists of construction of approximately 16,630 horizontal feet of 8-inch diameter C-900 PVC pipe (1,610 ft of DR 14 and 14,720 ft of DR18), a pressure reducing valve, and associated fittings and appurtenances. The Project pipeline will be installed within La Plata County rights-of-way (ROW) and dedicated utility easements on private land adjacent to the County Road (CR) 509 and 509A ROW. The pipeline is located in La Plata County, south of Bayfield, starting on CR 509 from the intersection with CR 510, running south to the intersection of CR 509A, and then west to the intersection with Highway 172. The Project pipe length above also includes a short spur (approx. 335 ) of 8-inch DR14 C-900 PVC running east on CR 520, including fittings, fire hydrants, connections of existing mains and water service lines, and other miscellaneous work as described in the Contract Documents. The District s office will stamp the date and mark the time received on all bids. Bids received after the date and time indicated on the Invitation to Bid will not be considered. The La Plata Archuleta Water District is not responsible for delays occasioned by the US Postal Service or any other means of delivery employed by Bidder. A 5 percent (5%) Bid Bond will be required as well as, one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds to guarantee the faithful performance of the contract. It is required that the surety issuing such bonds have an attorney-in-fact or a principal doing business in Colorado. This information must be included on the bond statement. The La Plata Archuleta Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to postpone the award for thirty (30) days, to delete certain items from the Proposal, and to award the Contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The La Plata Archuleta Water District may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and, may reject any and all bids upon finding that it is in the District s best interest to do so. Contractor shall be licensed as required by the State of Colorado and local governments or municipalities. Start date- May 1, 2024 Completion- November 30, 2024 Question Deadline 03/27/2024 Should Contractor find discrepancies in or omissions in the Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications, or should he be in doubt as to their meaning, he shall at once notify the Owner and Engineer for an interpretation or clarification thereof, but in no event later than four (4) normal working days prior to the time for the opening of Bids.
