The City of Iowa City is seeking bids from qualified and experienced vendors to provide Mechanical and HVAC Maintenance for the City of Iowa Citys Public Works Facility No City Representative other than the contact listed under Bid Contact Information should be contacted regarding this Request for Bid. Any such unauthorized contact may cause the disqualification of the proposer from the procurement transaction. No Contact Policy: After the date and time established for receipt of bids by the City, any contact initiated by the vendor or by a City representative, other than the Purchasing Division representative listed herein, concerning this Request for Bid is prohibited. Any such unauthorized contact may cause the disqualification of the vendor from the procurement transaction. The City of Iowa City is seeking contract pricing for mechanical, air handling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system preventive maintenance and as-needed corrective repair work for the Iowa City Public Works Facility located at 3810 Napoleon Lane, Iowa City, Iowa. This facility was constructed in 2020. Preventive maintenance and repairs may include, but are not limited to, those systems noted in the bid documentation. The successful vendor will be responsible for providing labor, supervision, materials, equipment (lifts, tools, etc.), transportation, service, and the shop facilities necessary to perform the work. Site Location and Hours of Work: The Public Works Facility is located at 3810 Napoleon Lane, Iowa City, IA, 52240. Available hours for maintenance activities are non-holidays, Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. On-site maintenance activities must be coordinated in advance by the Contractor. The Contractor is expected to call the Iowa City Streets Division (319-356-5181) one business day prior to being on-site to ensure areas are accessible. Access after normal working hours is restricted. Any maintenance to be performed after normal working hours must be requested in writing and approved by the Iowa City Streets Superintendent Brock Holub bholub@iowa-city.org or Water Superintendent Jon Durst jdurst@iowa-city.org at least 48 hours in advance. Whereas this contract is specific to the Public Works Facility, the City reserves the right to request Maintenance activities to be performed at other City facilities throughout the term of the contract at the labor rates listed in the bid line items section. All questions and clarifications regarding this Request for Bid will be accepted until March 5, 2024 noon (CT) by submitting your questions through Electronically. All questions must be in writing in order to receive a response.
