Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Roseville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Crimson Ridge Park Upgrades Crimson Ridge Way and Campus Parkway - This is a newly completed park that faced budget constraints with the original design. This scope of work is designed to upgrade the park by adding some amenities which include: the removal/re-location of bark, adding turf and planting areas, the addition of an irrigation system to support these new areas, additional concrete pathway, decomposed granite picnic area, picnic tables, a park bench, a shade structure over the existing picnic area, and the installation of turf and plantings The City of Roseville is now accepting bid proposals for the Crimson Ridge Park Upgrades from pre-qualified contractors. The scope of work for the base bid includes, but is not limited to: a second picnic area with tables, a shade structure over the current picnic area, more pathways including a park bench, new turf areas, new planting areas and expansion of the irrigation system to support the added turf areas. At this time this project is only available for bidding by Prime Contractors listed on the City of Roseville Parks, Recreation and Libraries 2024 Pre-Qualified Contractor List. Please see attached Pre-Qualified Prime Contractors memo attached for more information. Owner Rights: The City reserves the right to conduct a post-bid qualifications review of any subcontractors if deemed necessary. The City reserves the right to reject any unbalanced bid if the City determines that there is a reasonable doubt that an acceptance of the bid will not result in the lowest ultimate cost to the City with regard to the work or a disproportionate distribution of contract funds. The City reserves the right to delete any bid item in its entirety and/or significantly reduce the quantity of Work under a bid item. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to award (or not award) any combination of bid items at its option. Any such award will be to the lowest responsible Bidder whose proposal complies with the requirements prescribed for the bid items awarded. Doc Notes: Potential bidders are advised to obtain all documents and specifications related to this project directly from the City of Roseville. The City of Roseville does not guarantee the accuracy of any forms, plans, or project manuals obtained through outside sources other than the City of Roseville. Furthermore, the City does not guarantee the distribution of any addendums or the accuracy of their content if obtained from a third party. Bidders expressly assume the risk that their bid will be rejected from the use of project manuals or project plans obtained from third parties other than the City of Roseville. Engineer's Estimate: The engineer's estimate for construction of the base bid items is $258,384 Questions: The deadline for submission of questions and clarifications regarding the Contract Documents is 3/5/2024 In order to meet the required timeline to issue addenda, questions will not be accepted after this date. Only Addenda issued by the City are binding. All questions shall be directed to the attention of Kelly Appier via Public Purchase. Bond Notes: All bids shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of Bidder's security: Cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a Bidder's bond executed by an admitted California surety insurer, made payable to the City of Roseville, or any other form of security deemed acceptable by the City Attorney. The security shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. A bid will not be considered unless one of the form of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. A Bidder's bond shall conform to the City's bond form in the Proposal and shall be properly filled out and executed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. In the event CONTRACTOR does not complete the Work within the time specified, CONTRACTOR agrees that CITY will suffer damages. Inasmuch as the actual damages which would result from such breach by CONTRACTOR under this Agreement are uncertain, and would be impractical or extremely difficult to fix, CONTRACTOR agrees that it shall pay, or CITY shall deduct from CONTRACTOR's fee, the amount of $800per day as liquidated damages, in the event of such delay. TIME OF COMPLETION. Time is of the essence of this Agreement. CONTRACTOR shall complete all Work under the Contract Documents within _____ Days of the date of this Contract. CONTRACTOR shall begin work by the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" letter and shall diligently prosecute all of the Work under this Contract in all parts and requirements as defined in the Contract Documents.
