As of October 22 2025, per owner, this project is in late planning and should go out to bid later this year. Located at the intersection of W. 76 Country Blvd. & Hwy. 165, near the iconic Titanic exhibit, Pink Jeep Tours, as well as Walgreens and Gas Station on the adjacent corner. This intersection has a lot of through and cross traffic, pedestrian activity, and is a high-density corridor along W. 76 Country Blvd. Through safety and compliance, Consultant shall create a new capital transportation improvement that includes designing and installing an updated traffic signal, turn lane enhancements, traffic signal timing, pedestrian crosswalks and detection services, in existing city right of ways that are affected within this project. Engineering Services: When construction documents are advertised for bid and bids are received, if the bids are in excess of the Budget Limit, it will be at the consultant's expense to redesign construction drawings to align with the budget. o ADA Pedestrian Accessibility: The city is committed to improving the accessibility of pedestrian travel in the public right-of-way for all persons, including persons with disabilities and the elderly. The Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, specifies compliance requirements for state and local governments. o Obtain data through field evaluation with TOPO. o 76 Corridor Complete Street Guidelines: Design to Branson's typical road standards (cross sections) for the rights-of-way of each road classification to include sidewalks, driving lanes, street lighting, signaling, etc. Consultant is to focus on the standards set forth in MoDOTDesign Standards and LPA Manual, MUTCD, NEMA, IMSA, NESC, Caltrans/170, ITE, OSHA, City of Branson Technical Specifications, Design Criteria and Municipal Code. Location Intersection of W. 76 Country Blvd. and Hwy. 165 Proposed Improvement Intersection Improvements to include redesign of current traffic signal and additional right turn lane at intersection. Project also includes approximately 400 LF of water main. Additional utilities and retaining wall re-design will be included.
