Per the owner, as of September 26, 2024, a design team has been selected and they are currently in the data collection phase with design stating in October 2024. The owner states that they anticipate going out to bid for construction in the fourth quarter of 2025. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .............. The City of Fremont (City), through the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department, is requesting proposals from qualifying consulting firms (Consultant) to provide traffic analysis, intersection alternative analysis, civil design, surveying, and landscape design consulting services for the Paseo Padre Parkway Complete Street Project (Driscoll Road to Washington Boulevard) (Project). The contract will be administered by the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. Question & Answer End Date Mar 7, 2024 3:00:00 PM PST Responses to Questions Wednesday, March 13, 2024 The City has prepared an outline of "Scope of Services" which is attached as Exhibit "1" to the Request for Proposals ("RFP"), and generally includes: Consultant services for Traffic Analysis and Intersection Alternative Analysis at Paseo Padre Parkway/Olive Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway/Covington Drive; preliminary engineering/environmental, design, and construction support for roadway improvements on Paseo Padre Parkway from Driscoll Road to Washington Boulevard and intersection improvements at Paseo Padre Parkway/Olive Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway/Covington Drive. The City currently anticipates awarding an agreement for this Project approximately April 2024. No proposal or agreement for this Project shall be binding upon the City until the Agreement is signed by the Consultant and the City. Scope of Work The scope of work included in the proposal shall include, but may not be limited to, the following tasks: 1. Project Management/Administration Consultant will be responsible for general project management, coordination of all aspects of the project, monitoring project progress for adherence to schedule and budget, reporting project progress, and administering the project, including City requirements as identified in this RFP and the Service Agreement for Design Professionals. Project management and administration tasks include, but are not limited to: a. Schedule and facilitate regular project meetings and conference calls. b. Provide bi-weekly email status updates. c. Establishing an efficient web-based documentation system to manage files, and provide sharing and version tracking throughout all phases of work. d. Scheduling Project Team meetings throughout all phases of work. e. Prepare and maintain a detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule f. Coordinate and monitor subconsultants g. Providing monthly progress and performance reports and invoices in accordance with the requirements described in this RFP and the Professional Design Service Agreement. All invoices must include an invoice number, list of contract tasks, date(s) and percentage of work performed per task, classification and rates for consultant staff that performed the work, and backup documentation, including, but not limited to, timecards and receipts. h. Monitoring sub-consultants' schedule and budget. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
