Renovation of an educational facility in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Project consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary for replacement of low slope roofing. Project Location: Centerville Middle School 37720 Fremont Blvd. Fremont, CA 94536 May 1, 2024 - Construction Start Date June 14, 2024 - Construction Completion Date March 11, 2024 - Last Day for Questions The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: C-39 Roofing Contractor. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Scope of Work: 1. Tear off existing roofing, insulation and flashings to concrete deck at two (2) utility wells located at the gym building. 2. Prepare areas for new roofing 3. Install new roofing, insulation and flashings using Tremco's Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE) Roofing system per attached specifications and drawings. a. Install roofing system in accordance with manufacture's written instructions and approved details per attached specifications. 4. For more installation and material details, see attached specifications and drawings. Details: o Dimension: 30'x30' o Hatch opening: 32"x32" o # of drains: 2 o # of roof penetrations: 18 o # of curbs: 11 Demo: 1. Tear off existing roofing, insulation and flashings to concrete deck. 2. Preserve units. 3. All gas lines, electrical conduits, and drain lines will remain and be placed in original locations using existing sleepers. 4. Caution with gas and electrical lines. 5. Off haul spoils Installation: 1. Install roofing system in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions and approved details. 2. Check deck for moisture. Once deemed dry, prime concrete deck with Tremprime WB at a rate of 200 sq ft per gallon. 3. Adhere tapered ISO insulation to provide 1/4 " slope to drain in ribbons of low rise foam insulation adhesives spaced 12" OC. Insulation thickness shall be minimum 1.5". Sump all drains. 4. Adhere 1/4 " Densdeck prime coverboard in low rise foam adhesive with ribbons at 12" OC. 5. Adhere 60 mil Tremply KEE membrane in LV Bonding adhesive at a rate of 50-60 sq ft per gallon. Adhere KEE base flashings in same manor. 6. Re-use existing two (2) piece counterflashing. Skirt all curbs as needed. 7. Install walk pads from hatch to units, as feasible. Minimum linear footage 301lf per well. 8. Seal all roof penetrations. 9. See attached specifications and drawings for more details. Scope of Work Summary: 1. Tear off (e) roofing, insulation and flashings to concrete deck. 2. Check deck for moisture. Once deemed dry, prime concrete deck with Tremprime WB at a rate of 200 sq ft per gallon. 3. Adhere tapered ISO insulation to provide 1/4 " slope to drain in ribbons of low rise foam insulation adhesives spaced 12" OC. Insulation thickness shall be min. 1.5". Sump all drains. 4.
