Construction of a new recreation Complex. The new complex may include an aquatic centre, 2 new ice rink surfaces, an indoor soccer centre, indoor basketball court, gymnasium, rock climbing & a new library. Project may be phased. Potential sites: City-owned lands in the TransCan Corporate Park near the Hwy 17-744 intersection (2 different sites). TIMLEINE: The owner's consultant has issued a Request for Expression of Interest for the purpose of gathering information related to a proposed New Recreation Complex. In November 2023 the owner approved issuing the RFEOI for a Public-Private Partnership (P3) The purpose of the RFEOI is to engage with the market early in the project planning process. Information gathered will be an important link to the development of a procurement strategy and delivery methodology that is well suited to the market and to the City of Pembroke. Final decision on the project & procurement model is anticipated Fall 2024. Question Deadline: March 11, 2024 before 4:00 pm, EST. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
