Site work for a civil project in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Widefield Water and Sanitation District (Owner, WWSD) is seeking a qualified Construction Manager (CM) to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services including preconstruction services and complete construction services for the Jimmy Camp Lift Station (JCLS): Force Main Extension project. The selected CMAR will work as a team with the designer of record and Owner staff to ensure an efficient design approach for the project. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify interested CM s with qualifications to meet the needs of the Owner and financial capacity to provide CMAR services during the project. Based on qualifications included in a responsive Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), the Owner s selection committee will select the best qualified firms to establish a short list of firms. These firms will be invited to provide a price proposal based on a Request for Proposal after Owner s review of the SOQ s. Final selection of a CMaR is anticipated to occur in April 2024, with the start of preconstruction services to occur in May 2024 or earlier, as determined by the Owner. The proposed Force Main Extension project includes installation of new 16-inch wastewater force main piping from the existing 12-inch force main to the Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WRF). The proposed 16-inch force main will tie-in to the existing force main near Mesa Ridge Pkwy and Twin Creek Terrace and will strategically navigate westward through the right-of-way and acquired easements to the WRF. Timely completion of the 16-inch force main extension in early 2025 is a priority for WWSD to meet growing demand and manage odor discharge in the area. Work may be completed in separate construction packages depending on the schedule for obtaining necessary easements, materials, labor and equipment. Interested parties should direct questions to the District Engineer at rob@wwsdonline.com or by calling the WWSD office at 719-390-7111.
