Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work for which proposals are invited will consist of, in general, but shall not be limited to, the following: This project involves the removal of the existing HMA pavement and concrete vertical curb; earth excavation; installation of HMA pathways and pavement, combination curb and gutter, and storm sewer; demolition of existing playground and equipment; installation of new playground equipment; temporary tree protection measures; pollinator garden installation; site landscape restoration; and other appurtenant work. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of ten(10) percent of the total bid made payable to Vernon Hills Park District shall accompany the bid. The anticipated start date for this project is Monday, April 15, 2024. Substantial completion and preliminary punch list walkthrough is scheduled for Friday, July 19,2024. Regardless of the actual start date, all work shall be completed including punch list items and landscape restoration by Friday, July 26, 2024. The Owner reserves the right to acceptor reject any bid, to award all or part of a Contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the District. Any such decision shall be considered final. Factor so ther than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference Contracts, and the ability of the bidder to satisfactorily perform the work proposed in accordance with the Contract Documents.
