Site work for a civil project in Langdon, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
BF 78180 carries Range Road (RR) 273 over the Western Irrigation District (WID) Canal 'A', near Langdon. The crossing provides the only access to agricultural operations and well sites along this dead-end road. The replacement structure is intended to be a full steel substructure replacement with girder salvage converting this structure into a single lane structure, with some alterations to the gravel road's vertical alignment. It is noted the existing structure is a three-span structure, which will be maintained. Specifics beyond this have not been determined at this time and no drawings are available yet. The construction completion date will be March 31, 2025. BF 13544 carries RR 260 over the Rosebud River near Irricana. The crossing provides access to agricultural operations in addition to providing access across the Rosebud River between Townships. The replacement structure is expected to be a 30m long (8 m - 14 m - 8 m) single-lane three-span SL-girder bridge with spill-through abutments. The construction completion date will be October 31, 2024. It is anticipated that both sites are to be tendered separately.
