The scope of work includes demolition of an existing boiler, preparation and installation of a new boiler including but not limited to concrete work, electrical work, patching, etc. Alternate bids are requested for several new unit ventilators and associated temperature controls. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Draft in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%), of the bid and made payable to DePue Unit School District 103. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Owner. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practical after opening and checking the bids. Successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract, acceptable to the Owner. This Contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et.seq.). B. Products shall be installed in strict accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The Contractor shall review substrates prior to installing products. Installation of products shall represent that the Contractor has accepted the substrates as proper for the installation of products. Substrates which are not acceptable shall be corrected prior to the installation of products. Begin Work in the Field not later than June 4, 2024. Substantially Complete all Work not later than August 5, 2024.
