Renovation of a municipal facility in Marysville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Yuba County is looking for a qualified contractor to conduct a tenant improvement at the recently built storage facility known as the DRC Shop, located at 8 7th Street, Marysville CA, 95901. Attached is the RFP with further details and proposal submission instructions. If you have any questions, please remit them in writing to administrativeservices@co.yuba.ca.us, with cc to hstowe@co.yuba.ca.us, on or before Thursday, March 14, 2024 by 5p.m. We appreciate your consideration to this solicitation, and further interest in doing business with Yuba County. Background: Yuba County went out to bid for the construction of the DRC Shop in May of 2023. The DRC Shop stores equipment for the Yuba County Sheriff's Department and further improvements are needed to make the shop fully functional for additional uses. For this project, lead-based paint and asbestos are not a concern. Construction Schedule: Funding for this project is budgeted for fiscal year 2023- 2024; work to be completed before June 30, 2024. Seasonality will not impact project schedule. Please see section 2.6 for project schedule requirements and details. Purpose: The purpose of the project schedule is to ensure adequate planning, coordination, schedule, and reporting during execution of design and construction activities of the Contractor. The project schedule will assist the Contractor and the County in monitoring the progress of the work, evaluating proposed changes, and processing the Contractor's progress payment requests. Install exhaust fans that are controlled by a thermostat at the current vent locations, per Exhibit C. o To enhance electrical setup in the new facility: o Install new 400-amp main service panel and connect to the existing structure's panel. o Add outlets, switches, lighting, roll-up door openers, fans, conduits, and boxes for future cameras. o Install single mode 12-strand fiber optic cable from the DRC shop to the existing classroom, following the layout shown on Exhibit C. o Install piping and an air compressor, ensuring they are properly connected. The placement of outlets to align with floor plan on Exhibit C and incorporate a retractable line from the ceiling, extending at least 50 feet. o Install electric hot water heater and related components for the restroom and hot water hose bib, as illustrated on Exhibit C. o Install card reader conduits and boxes with CAT 6 cables terminated at both ends of the line in I.D.F. room. o Install wall mounted eyewash station per Exhibit C. o Install two (2) "Big Ass Fans" as shown on Exhibit C. o Install "brush seal kit," on top of all roll up doors. ALERNATE #1- PARKING LOT o Provide concrete parking lot that is at least 6 inches thick, with a minimum strength of 3000 psi, and includes #3 rebar spaced 18 inches apart in both directions as indicated on Exhibit D, site plan. o Install conduits/sleeves under concrete for future use per Exhibit D. ALTERNATE #2- PROPERTY FENCING o New fencing to be erected to a minimum height of eight (8) feet. o Fencing to be black coated chain link with barbed wire at the top. o Contractor to provide all gates, motors, etc., to ensure fully operational perimeter fence according to Exhibit D. Controls to include Knox key operation for fire department. o Remove existing site fencing as per site plan requirements, Exhibit D. o Extend existing conduits to accommodate proposed new rolling gate openers, using DKS Doorking model #9150-380, or equivalent, including gooseneck pedestals for card readers. Controls to include Knox key operation for fire department. o Install shielded CAT 6 cable approved for underground use to the proposed rolling gates as indicated on Exhibit D. Install CAT 6 cable (shielded and approved for underground use) to proposed rolling gates as shown on the Exhibit
