Major Items of Work Quantities Approximate 10,000 Ton-Asphalt Pavement 35,000 S.Y. Pulverizing & Shaping 4,000 S.Y. Milling 1,000 L.F. Road Drainage Ditching Projects include: The 2024 Road Program consists of several streets of which the Village reserves the right to choose a combination of any for this contract: Hickory Hills - School Rd, Glenwood Rd, Shagbark Rd, Butternut Rd Willow Creek Heights - Oak Ln, Poplar Ln, Beech Dr, Hickory Dr, Laurel Ct, Oak Ct, Birch Ln Hilbert Lane Driveway work in Country Belle Manor Project elements include, but may not be limited to, pavement removal and replacement; pavement and base course removal and replacement; ditch reshaping; sanitary, water and/or storm utilities repair and surface elevation adjustments; landscaping; erosion control; striping; signing; painting; mobilizations; de-mobilizations; detours; traffic control; and other misc. related items. PROPOSALS A bidder's qualification statement must be received by the Village of Germantown at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. The proposal form furnished by the Village shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the Village of Germantown equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause. the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). This project is exempt from the State sales tax. Therefore, all Bidders shall not include the payment of sales tax in the bid prices. The Village of Germantown will require verification that State sales tax is not charged for materials on this project. Contractors shall provide copies of all material invoices to the Village of Germantown. The Village of Germantown will provide a copy of the Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate.
