Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chatham, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The proposed work consists of removing existing asphalt pavement replacing the bike path with PCC pavement including all saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing pavement and earth materials, aggregate base course and traffic control, officially known as the VILLAGE OF CHATHAM, BIKE PATH IMPROVEMENTS- SOUTH PARK, Chatham, Illinois. The project shall consist of saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement and tree roots, placement and compaction of aggregate base course for pavement replacement areas, 10-foot wide 5-inch PCC pavement, and all traffic control along the bike path adjacent to the work. All work shall be in accordance with the contract documents and details and shall be performed in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specification's for the work and materials specified. All labor and materials are included as part of this Request for Proposals and shall be subject to the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wages for such work. As a condition of this contract, all work shall be performed by a contractor prequalified by the State of Illinois to do work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, including sub-contractors. All work must be completed by May 30, 2024. Method of Payment: This work shall not exceed $30,000.00 and the Contractor shall submit within the bid offering the total linear foot distance of completed 10-foot-wide bike path that can be provided under this not-to-exceed price. Final payment will be made based upon Unit Price Bids per the advertised Schedule of Quantities. All materials furnished shall be from an Illinois Department of Transportation approved source. The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all proposals. Award will not be made solely upon linear footage bid, but rather the inal selection by the Village of Chatham Board.
