Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Engineer, 795 South Main St., Bountiful, Utah for: 2024 300 South Street Reconstruction Project Question Submission Close Date 3/14/2024 2:00 PM MDT Work included in this Construction Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to reconstruct the existing asphalt pavement section on 300 South Street from the east side of the Main Street intersection to the west side of the 400 East Street intersection. The project will also include the replacement of curb, gutter, sidewalk, drive approaches, and storm drain at multiple locations. Bidders are invited to bid on Construction Contract known as: 2024 300 S STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT The projects is located on 300 South Street, from 200 W to Main Street and on 400 South Street, from Main Street to 400 E in Bountiful, and is identified on the title sheet for the project "2024 300 S STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT". The work to be performed generally consists of pulverizing the existing pavement section, excavation, grading, asphalt paving and removal and replacement of existing curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approaches. Each bid must be submitted on the form provided as a part of the Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond from a surety company, acceptable to Bountiful City Council, all made payable to City of Bountiful in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid. Said check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract in conformity with the form of contract included in the Contract Documents, and furnish a performance bond within fifteen (15) days after notification of the award of the contract to the successful bidder. Bountiful reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid or to waive any informality in any bid as its best interests may appear. A decision on the rejection of any or all bids or the award of a contract will be made within seven (7) days after the bids are opened. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. The Work will be Substantially Complete by September 15, 2024. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the OWNER. Question Deadline 03/12/2024. All requests for interpretation of the Contract Documents shall be made in writing and delivered to the ENGINEER no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to opening of Bids. In the ENGINEER's discretion, ENGINEER will send the written interpretation to all persons receiving a set of Bid Documents in the form of an Addendum. If the ENGINEER does not respond to a Bidder's request for interpretation the Bidder shall comply with the intent and terms of the Contract Documents No oral interpretations shall be made to any Bidder. The OWNER shall not be responsible for or bound by any statements, interpretations, explanations, representations, conclusions or assumptions made by any party, whether oral or written, except for written statements that are issued in an Addendum by the ENGINEER to all prospective bidders.
