As of September 24, 2025, this project has been cancelled. The City of Greer is requesting bids from experienced Contractors for fence installation at the City of Greer Operations Center Interior. The selected respondent will ensure all work is performed to a high standard and by the required deadline. The bidder will work closely with City Representatives to coordinate scheduling and access to the facility. Work must be completed by April 30th, 2024 The Contractor shall furnish the materials, equipment, labor, and supervision to provide and install the work as described below and per attached schematic drawings: Demo existing chain link fence approximately 68 ft. length x 12 ft. height Install approximately 100 lf. of 9 gauge galvanized chain link fence, 20 ft. height, using 1 5/8'' SS40 rails, 4'' line and terminal posts spaced no more than 10 ft. apart, and 8'' x 8'' welded base plates anchored to concrete surface Install approximately 100 lf. of three (3) rows of barbed wire at the top of fence line between the roof joists to create secured fencing from floor to ceiling, using barb arms as necessary For proposed contracts greater than $25,000.00, the offeror awarded the contract must supply a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the proposed contract price prior to commencement of the project. As an alternative, contractor may deposit a cash bond in the amount of 125% of the proposed contract price to be held in escrow by the City until such time as the project is complete and fully accepted by the City. For proposed contracts greater than $50,000.00, the offeror awarded the contract must supply a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the proposed contract price prior to commencement of the project.
