Sealed bids will be received for the Purchase of Materials (Items Without Prevailing Wages) in accordance with the specifications on file in the Public Service Department. Items to be bid: Limestone Gravel Sand Asphaltic Materials Portland Concrete Tree Removal Smooth Plastic Pipe SDR 35 Sewer Main Fittings Corrugated Polyethylene (Double Wall) Pipe Topsoil (Screened) Galvanized Corrugated Metal Pipe Castings & Catch Basins Water Line Parts - Domestic Made Only Each bidder must furnish with its proposal a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of $1,000.00. The bid bond or cashier's check will be returned if no bid is awarded to the bidder. The City of Stow, in determining the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder in the award of these contracts, may award a local bidder preference to any qualified bidder. The determination of whether a bidder qualifies for the local preference shall be made by the Board of Control; that decision shall be final. The City of Stow reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid in part or in whole, which is deemed most favorable to the City of Stow at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
