This project includes construction of approximately: o 6,130 LF - 8" C900 PVC Water Line (Open Cut) o 70 LF - 8" C900 PVC Water Line (By Other Than Open Cut) o 50 LF - 6" C900 PVC Water Line (Open Cut) o 1,060 LF - 2" Polyethylene SDR-9 Water Line (By Other Than Open Cut) o 5 - 12" Gate Valve o 22 - 8" Gate Valves o 8 - 6" Gate Valves o 3 - 2" Gate Valves o 8 - Fire Hydrants o 126 - Services. Each bid shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid, made payable without conditions to "Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1", and the amount of the said Bid Bond may be retained by and forfeited to the District as liquidated damages if the bid covered thereby is accepted and a contract based thereon is awarded and the bidder should fail to enter into a contract in the form prescribed, with legally responsible sureties and required insurance coverage acceptable to the District's Legal Counsel, within fifteen (15) days after such award is made by the District. The Bid Bond of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned if and when their bids are rejected. The Bid Bond of the bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be returned provided the bidder executes a contract and files the required bonds and insurance. The Bid Bond of the second and third lowest responsible bidders may be retained for a period of time not to exceed sixty (60) days after the contract is awarded pending the execution of the contract and bonds by the successful bidder. The District reserves the right to disapprove any subcontractor. The Contractor shall not change subcontractors or enter into contracts with subcontractors not listed without prior approval by the District. The District reserves the right to refuse any or all requests for changes.
