The Owner is the City of Buffalo, and the work sites are located in the City of Buffalo. The project limits are on Niagara Street from Porter Avenue to Hampshire Street. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Roadway asphalt repair, curb extensions at signalized intersections; spot replacement of drainage structures; spot curb and underdrain replacements; complete traffic signal replacements; new LED streetlights and associated components; spot sidewalk and driveway replacements; water line work; tree plantings; signs and pavement markings; maintenance and protection of traffic and other incidental improvements. This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on September 1, 2023 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful bidder. This work shall include the protection of tree roots for purposes of installing conduits, direct burial cables and other subsurface utilities. The work shall consist offurnishing, installing, maintaining (removing, disposal of debris and resetting), replacing (if needed), and disposing (at end of contract) a temporary catch basin insert at the locations indicated in and according to the contract documents, and as directed by the Engineer.
