It is the intent of this solicitation to engage a qualified contractor to perform flat turf mowing, sloped turf mowing and trimming for approximately 73 acres at the Southport Landfill. 1. Contractor shall provide services for flat turf mowing, sloped turf mowing and trimming for approximately 73 acres at the Southport Landfill, located at 4400 Hunt Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34746. 2. Approximately 65% of the 73 acres will be considered as slope mowing on grades of 3:1 (or greater) and 35% of the mowing will be done on flat or 4:1 slopes. Storm water ditches have a greater than 3:1 slope. The County is estimating that approximately 20 mowing events will be required over a 12-month period. This is an estimate. 3. Trimming (weed whacking) will be required around all buildings, approximately 2000 feet of fence line, gas and water wells, water let down structures, and storm water collection structures. 4. On an as needed basis trimming of overgrown vegetation and overhanging tree limbs will be required on the 2000 feet of fence line, and around 12 to 15 monitoring wells located along the northern and western side of the landfill in the wooded area. An RFP/Performance and Payment Bond is not required for this project. A solicitation may be canceled, or any or all submittals in response to a solicitation issued by the County may be rejected, in whole or in part, without recourse, when it is in the best interest of the County in accordance with the Administrative Code, Chapter 3. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof, with or without cause, without recourse, to waive technicalities or irregularities, and to accept or reject proposals which, in its judgment, best serve the interest of the County.
