This Specification establishes the minimum requirements for this solicitation, listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as noted, by the School Board. Contractor shall inspect and perform required service on all fire extinguishers and fire suppression and fire detection systems addressed in the individual scopes of service. If a fire extinguisher or fire suppression system is damaged, corroded or otherwise unusable at the time of inspection or at any other time during the period of the contract, it shall be withdrawn from service, and the Contractor shall test, recharge and/or replace the extinguisher or systems cylinder as instructed in this scope of services. All parts for fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems must be original manufacturer’s listed parts as specified by the manufacturers. Chemicals must meet manufacturer’s specifications and be listed for use in the particular portable fire extinguisher or fire suppression system being serviced. Portable fire extinguishers and fire suppression system cylinders removed for extended service must be replaced with a fire extinguisher or fire suppression system cylinder of the same type and size as the one that was removed. The systems shall be listed with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. per UL 300 fire test specifications. Systems listed prior to UL 300 shall not be accepted. System components manufacturer shall be registered under ISO 9001-2000. The system shall be designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with the Design, Installation, and Maintenance Manual, NFPA 96, NFPA 17A, NFPA 10, NFPA 2001, local codes and by an authorized distributor using factory trained personnel. The School Board reserves the right to reject offers containing terms or conditions contradictory to those requested in the invitation specifications. The Bidder agrees to provide and maintain at all times during the term of this agreement, without cost or expense to the School Board, policies of insurance insuring the Bidder against any and all claims, demands or causes of action whatsoever, for injuries received or damage to property relating to the performance of duties, services and/or obligations of the Bidder under the terms and provisions of this agreement. The Bidder will provide the School Board with copies of current appropriate business licenses. The estimated quantities that will be purchased during this bid period of twelve (12) months are shown on the Bid Price Sheet. Please note that these are estimates only and in no way obligates the School Board to purchase these amounts. These estimates are intended as a guide in submitting your bid. The actual quantities purchased under this bid may be more or may be less. QUANTITY CHANGES The School Board reserves the right to increase or decrease the total quantities necessary. Questions concerning any portion of this Bid shall be directed in writing or by e-mail to the Purchasing Representative named below, who shall be the official point of contact for this Bid. Questions should be submitted prior to the question deadline scheduled for 12:00 PM on Friday March 22, 2024.
