Replace existing oil water separator Ray Brook Sub-Residency pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority under State Finance Law section 163(6). This procurement opportunity is limited to New York State small businesses, businesses certified pursuant to Article 15-A of the New York State Executive Law (certified minority and women-owned business enterprises) and/or New York State Veterans' Services Law for service-disabled veteran-owned business enterprises (SDVOB), and, if applicable, businesses selling commodities or technology that are recycled or remanufactured. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) seeks a firm to provide removal and installation of a 1,000 gallon Oil/Water Separator system in-kind which adheres to Section 444249 of the OGS specifications attached (see Documents tab). Successful bidder will provide all necessary manpower, equipment, materials, and capabilities required to complete the project including restoration of topsoil, asphalt or any other incidental materials needed to restore project site to an "as-found" condition. Mobilization to/from site (tank emptying stage) Empty existing O/W separator tank in preparation for removal Properly dispose of liquid waste (approximately 500 gallons) in accordance with DEC disposal requirements. Contact 811 Dig Safe NY for a location request prior to excavation. Mobilization to/from site for existing tank removal and installation of new system. Excavate, jack hammer and clean existing manhole covers for reuse. Disconnect, and remove existing Oil Water Separator (OWS), load and properly dispose of it in accordance with DEC disposal requirements.. Disconnect and remove existing alarm panel and sensors with wiring, salvaging conduit for re-use. Furnish and install one (underground) steel 1000-gallon, single wall, 100gpm flow rated oil/water separator tank with exterior coating to exceed UL-1746 standards. Installed complete with: Interior Polyurethane Lining HighGuard Packet w/10-yr warranty/installation/maint instructions Polyurethane Exterior Touch Up Kit 2" Leak sensor pipe 4" Pump Out Pipe Corrugation Plate Coalescer (Installed) Petroscreen Coalescer (Installed) Pull Rod 2ea- 24" Dia. Manway w/38" Bolt On Extension Optional Adder to increase the extension length at time of purchase CC-HT-A1 1 CHANNEL ALARM PANEL (1ph-60hz-120v std const) High and High/High Oil Alarm HTF 1 Float Interface Stem Sensor High oil level sensor 2ea- 4'0" Polyester Hold down Strap w/Galvanized TB, wire rope, 2ea- clamps 2ea- CONCRETE DEADMAN (CDA-15) Install new wiring and signal cables using existing underground conduit from tank field to alarm panel. Set existing manholes with #4 rebar reinforcement spaced 12" OCEW. Form and pour 6' x 12' x 8" concrete pad with #4 bar 12" OCEW. Test operation and alarms. Properly backfill around new oil water separator using material approved by the Resident Engineer. Site cleanup and restoration of topsoil, grass seed If required, restoration of asphalt if needed, to "as found" condition. Provide NYSDOT with Manufacturer's Warranty and O&M manuals for OWS. NYSDOT will provide: Free and clear accessibility to work site and associated building entrance for electrical, etc. A Broker's Generator Authorization Letter Necessary permits (if needed) associated with the excavation/removal/installation process. Water and 120v electrical are available to the contractor Delivery location: Ray Brook Sub- Residency 1111 NYS Rt 86 Building 1 Ray Brook, NY 12977 Contract period The contract period will cover a period of one (1) year which is expected to begin April 1, 2024 (or upon the date of OSC approval, whichever occurs later). It is anticipated all work will be complete prior to July 1,2024. Method of Award It is the Intention of Nysdot to Award to the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. Award of a Contract Will Be Made on the Basis of Lowest Grand Total Price. In Order for a Bid to Be Considered for Award, It Must: Be Responsive (I.e. Conforms in All Material Respects to the Terms, Conditions, Specifications, and Other Requirements of the Request for Quotations), and; Have Been Submitted by a Responsible Bidder (I.e. Has the Capacity in All Respects to Perform All Contract Requirements in Full, Specifically the Financial Capacity, Legal Authority, Integrity and Past Performance) Insurance Requirements Workers' Compensation Insurance and Disability Benefits Requirements Workers' Compensation Law (Wcl) 57 and 220 Requires the Heads of All Municipal and State Entities to Ensure That Businesses Applying for Permits, Licenses or Contracts Document It Has Appropriate Workers' Compensation and Disability Benefits Insurance Coverage. These Requirements Apply to Both Original Contracts and Renewals, Whether the Department is Having the Work Done or is Simply Issuing the Permit, License, or Contract.
