The Santa Cruz County Public Works Recycling and Solid Waste Services invites sealed proposals for Landfill Gas Collection System Monitoring, Maintenance, and Regulatory Compliance Engineering and Consulting Services from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified CONTRACTORS to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide services for the Santa Cruz County Buena Vista Landfill and Ben Lomond Landfill. Santa Cruz County owns and operates two landfills. The Buena Vista Landfill is an active landfill and located in the southern coastal area of the County and the Ben Lomond Landfill is a closed landfill located in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the northern area of the County. Both landfill are equipped with landfill gas systems which include gas extraction wells, perimeter monitoring probes and flares. The Buena Vista Landfill receives about 300 tons of refuse per day and delivers most of the landfill gas it generates to a co-gen facility located on-site The term of this contract will be July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, renewable annually for up to three (3) additional years.
