The State University of New York at Buffalo ("University") is seeking a contract for Regulated Medical Waste Disposal Service. Bidders must be qualified and licensed regulated medical waste disposal contractors. The waste from the University laboratory-based research is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, and immunization of humans and animals, or related research in the production and testing of biologicals. The Contractor shall maintain chain-of-custody documentation for the regulated medical waste from the source of pickup and be responsible for all regulated medical waste disposal site certifications and final disposal of the product in accordance with all Federal, State, and local regulations. Currently, the University requires pick up of regulated medical waste at a combined total of approximately thirty-six (36) different buildings on its North, South and Downtown Campuses and University-affiliated properties The University reserves the right to add, change, or eliminate pick-up sites throughout the duration of this contract. Pricing is based on per container pricing without adjustment made for actual location. Researchers are moved from one research/lab location to another, are new hires or cease to work for the University so minor adjustments to pick-up sites will occur throughout the duration of the contract. The list of the current specific thirty-six (36) buildings and University Department's employee who generates the waste and request for removal ("University Department Generator") at various locations within those buildings will be distributed to the successful Bidder at the time of the contract award. There may be a need for an emergency pick-up. All locations are on or near the University's North, South and Downtown Campuses.
