Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in De Pere, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The proposed project consists of the 2025 new construction of CTH GV from French Road to Lawrence Drive. This project is part of the Southern Bridge Connector which will ultimately connect CTH EB and CTH GV to I-41. The Wisconsin DOT has initiated construction for the new interchange for the Southern Bridge Connector as part of the I-41 lane expansion project from Appleton to Scheuring Road. When the interchange is constructed, the EB-39/45 and GV-14 projects need to be constructed concurrently to connect the new interchange to Mid Valley Drive to the west and Lawrence Drive to the east. Proposed is new asphalt paved four-lane roadway (two lanes each direction) with tie-in location just east of the WisDOT construct, relocating French Road to the east with a new roundabout construction. Project is constructed in 2-stage construction including; a new roundabout for the Lawrence Drive and CTH GV intersection as well as the tie-in connections to WisDOT work on the west and Southbridge Road to the east. The roundabout located at Lawrence Drive will be a four-lane roundabout to accommodate traffic and turn conditions for that intersection. Road to the west is a four-lane roadway to the WisDOT project. Roadway to the east will temporarily stage as two-lane roadway to match Southbridge Road and eventually be upgraded to four-lane roadway with the construction of the next phase of GV-15. Project roadway typical construction includes; 12” of breaker, 8” base aggregate dense, and 7 ½” new asphalt surface. As of March 20, 2025, this project is beginning construction later this week.
